 Multi Screen TV System now installed including a 60″ Plasma Screen

New TV packages - Including  LIVE 3.00pm Saturday matches

The Committee are pleased to announce that we have purchased TWO new TV packages that should allow us to show a choice of TWO 3.00pm Premiership matches. This is in addidition to our existing coverage - please check the TV schedule of this website and the club notice boards for details of what we will be showing.

Function room has re-opened after for major refurbishment:

The Committee are delighted to announce that the Function Room has now re-opened after a major refit. Why not call in and take a look - we think you will be impressed. The Lotto sales will be making a major contribution to the cost of the refit - which will be in excess of £20,000.

Saturday nights:

The front room will remain OPEN on Saturday evenings. The music will be a mix of live bands and/or DJ’s. This is a cost cutting measure reflecting falling attendances.

Committee Meetings:

Committee meetings have now been moved to Tuesday evenings. The next Committee meeting will be at 7.30pm sharp on Monday 4th March 2013.

Members:

Membership forms are available in the Club rooms or can be downloaded from the “Join our Club” page of this website. Please feel free to call into the Club anytime if you would like to sample the atmosphere and facilities before applying - you will be most welcome!

Membership Renewals:

The membership dues are now up for renewal and the membership is open again to new members. The subscriptions are the same as before:

  • Full Member: £15.00
  • Senior Citizen: £10.00
  • Over 70’s: £1.00
  • New Member: £50.00

Renewals and new applications can be left in the Club for the attention of Morris Browne or Billy McCullough - membership secretary & assistant membership secretary. Just put your money in an envelope along with your details or new membership form and mark it for Morris or Billy’s attention.

The Committee look forward to welcoming back as many existing members as possible and any new members will also be warmly welcomed.

Lotto:

The Club Lotto has been a great success. Tickets are selling well and most participating members seem to be keen on the concept. Herbie Graham was our first Jackpot winner - collecting £2050.00 and Demelza Stewart was our second winner collecting £3500.00. Audrey Campbell became our biggest winner to date - scooping a whopping £4850.00 in March 2011. Sam Quee became our newest winner scooping £2150.00 on Sat 12th November 2011 taking the Jackpot payouts over the £10K mark.

The Lotto was intended to raise funds for capital type projects that would enhance the Club for the benefit of us all. It has raised over £40,000 up to August 2012. The new heating/cooling system that we had installed in the main function room was earmarked as a priority. The Management Committee secured a short-term loan for that project and the Lotto profits were used to pay this off. The Lotto proceeds were also used to make a significant contribution towards the costs of the new toilet block. They have also contributed to the new multi screen TV system in the Members Lounge. The Management Committee would like to thank everyone that takes part in the Lotto and wish you all luck!
